To the Faculty of Arts and Science,
I am writing to respectfully request permission to be added to LLCU 111 Introduction to Culture, despite the class having already started. I understand that the registration period has ended, and I sincerely apologize for the late request. However, I would like to provide some context for my situation and explain why I believe my request should be considered.
Initially, I was placed on the waitlist for DEVS 101, which was my first priority for this semester. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure a spot in that course, and the timing of the waitlist movement prevented me from enrolling in LLCU 111 before the deadline. Given my academic goals and the significance of both courses to my degree progression, I have now realized that LLCU 111 is critical for me to stay on track this semester.
I am fully committed to putting in the necessary effort to catch up on any missed assignments, lectures, or exams and I am confident that I can quickly learn material and actively engage in class discussions with some initial guidance from the professor or teaching assistant.
I appreciate your understanding of the unique circumstances that have led to this request, and I am ready to take immediate action to catch up and fully participate in LLCU 111 should I be granted permission to enroll.
