Petition Letter
Dear Dean,
I was placed on a part-time status for my third year at Queen's due to an unfortunate passing away that happened at the end of my second year. Due to this, many of the classes I wanted in the fall semester I was unable to get and by the end of it I was only enrolled in 2 courses for the fall term. I do not want this semester to be the same. I reached out to a lot of classes that I was waitlisted for and unfortunately did not get into a lot of them. I am now only in one class, and after waiting for emails back from several teachers I cannot wait anymore. I am submitting this petition to get enrolled officially into ANAT 100. I have been keeping up with the class and already got the approval from the instructor on the 22nd of January. I have just been waiting for one more class so I can fill out one petition for both classes but unfortunately, they have not responded. I was informed by an academic advisor that a petition could not be accepted without instructor approval beforehand. This is the reason I have taken so long to submit this petition. However, after realizing the deadline was the Friday that just past and not this Monday, I am submitting this petition hoping it can still be granted. I am prepared for this class and have been following for the beginning 4 weeks already. I am just waiting to officially be added.
