Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am submitting this petition to earnestly request to be added to CISC 497 late. I had been enrolled in the class since the summer, and it displayed on my Solus schedule normally. I have participated in all classes and have been completing and submitting assignments for the entire semester. However, due to my CISC 365 grade not meeting the prerequisite requirement in the Fall semester, I had been unenrolled. I had not realized that I had been unenrolled from the class, as it still displayed in my schedule and gave no notification/indication that such a thing had happened. I am currently involved in the group project, and do not wish to let down my team (that is actively relying on my enrollment) by disappearing. I am also currently taking another CISC 497 prerequisite (CISC 352), the grade of which I am certain will be above the prerequisite requirement. If necessary, I can additionally retake CISC 365 for a better mark. If I were to be added to this course, it would not be as if I was beginning anew in the middle of a semester, I have been and still am involved in the course content, onQ, and assignments. I need this course to graduate, and I sincerely hope that you find it in yourself to allow me to continue.
My petition is supported by Dr. Yuanzhu Chen and Erin Gunsinger, who can be reached respectively at:
yuanzhu.chen@queensu.ca
erin.gunsinger@queensu.ca
Thank you so much for your time,
Greg
