Academic Plan
Support System:
I will continue to work with a tutor/ADHD coach to support my academic success and well-being. I will also continue to voice my concerns with my mother for support.
Academically:
I will now consider more carefully the reading requirements of courses and not take on course with larger reading demands which I find difficult with ADHD. Also, I may not wish to take courses that ask me to do more creative assignments which I find difficult with autism. This was asked of me in this Classics class which I found challenging and stressful along with it requiring a great deal of memorization. Now that I am aware that these demands cause me such stress, I will look at the syllabi more carefully as well as observing deadlines for changing or withdrawing from a course.
I do intend to change my Major to Politics rather than Philosophy this summer, which has also been a little more challenging for me even though I have completed the requirements for a Minor in Philosophy. The more straight forward nature of assignments and exams in Politics suit me better and I do enjoy Politics as a subject.
Health:
I am trying to address the sleeping and anxiety issues by trying to adjust medication.
I request that the courses be removed from my transcripts. I do not want some of the aspects of my autism, ADHD and anxiety to compromise my graduate school applications. I have been trying to turn things around this term by reducing course load. I will consider courses carefully for the fall. I may take a couple of courses this summer to catch up on course credits.
