Petition Letter
Dear Academic Appeals Committee,
I'm petitioning for a review of my Essay One in PHIL 270 (Dr. Salay, Winter). I received this back with no feedback or rubric on April 11th and emailed Prof. Salay immediately. She responded an email to the whole class saying this has affected many students due to system issues and the TA strike. Without comments, I cannot understand where I lost marks or how I can improve. This essay is now 50% of my grade due to the strike, and I feel as if the note I received was unfair without justification. I have already emailed Prof. Salay but was told individual reviews aren't possible with 300+ students and no TAs. I politely request a new review with proper feedback.
