Petition Letter
During the exam period, on April 12, 2025, my mother passed away. I had not yet finished studying for my MATH 112 exam which was on April 19, and I needed to return home to Nova Scotia as quickly as possible.
I contacted an advisor and my professor immediately to defer my exam, and left Kingston on April 15. My professor contacted me and offered me the option of writing the exam in May, or possibly with the Fall MATH 112 class in December 2025.
Unfortunately I am not in a state in which I can write currently. Also, I'm not able to return to Kingston, let alone Ontario, any time soon, and most likely by December I will have returned to working full time and will not be able to return then, either.
I apologise sincerely for any inconvenience.
