Academic Plan
ACADEMIC PLAN
A. Course of Study
• Currently registered in my intended degree plan: History Major (BAH)
• Remaining requirement: 2 standard courses to complete my degree
• Have reviewed my Academic Advisement Report in SOLUS to confirm outstanding requirements
• Have received professor approval for late enrolment in the following summer online courses: PHIL 151, ARTH 120
• Aim to complete these final credits this summer to graduate as soon as possible
B. Full-time vs. Part-time Status
• Full-time commitment to completing these two summer courses
• I have no conflicting commitments until late July when my full-time job begins
• My current availability provides significant time to focus solely on these courses
• I am not carrying any incomplete work from previous academic sessions
C. Strategies for Success
Challenges Experienced Last Term:
• Balancing full-time work with academic responsibilities
• Adjusting to unexpected exam format changes due to the faculty strike, which impacted my final assessments
How I Will Address These Challenges:
• No conflicting work schedule before July, allowing full focus on academics
• Proactively engaging with professors and course materials starting immediately upon enrollment
• Utilizing available university resources as needed:
• Office hours and instructor communication
• Academic Advising if questions arise
• Peer support or study groups if offered online
Skills to Build:
• Improved time management by blocking off daily study hours
• Early engagement with assignments to prevent last-minute challenges
Support and Resources to Be Used:
• Arts & Science Online support resources for navigating online learning
• Student Academic Success Services for learning strategies if needed
• Ongoing communication with professors to confirm understanding of expectations
Closing Summary
• I am in my final year with only courses needed to graduate
• Extenuating circumstance: Delayed grade release after the summer add deadline
• Professors have already agreed to late admission
• I am fully committed to completing these courses successfully before my job starts in July
• This plan ensures I stay on track to graduate without further delay
