Academic Plan
If my petition was granted, and I had the ability to take American Sign Language (ASL) it would significantly aid my academic career, and future success. By completing this ASL course in the summer, I will have completed 3 units of the 6 language units required for my linguistic minor. This will give me more flexibility in the fall and winter semesters in terms of managing, registering and balancing my Psychology and Linguistics Courses. Taking this course will also allow me to dedicate more time to my other courses in the upcoming semesters.
With this course, I will continue to be on track to graduate in the spring and have flexibility in my courses and guaranteed completition of all my required courses. This also sets me up to have all my important courses and submit my best work possible in my fourth year, putting me in the best position with the best experience to apply to Speech Language Pathology for graduate school.
