Petition Letter
Petition to the Associate Dean,
I am requesting an aegrotat for GNDS 326 because my performance in the course was impacted by the loss of close family. I was unable to complete the final component of the course, but I was hoping to receive a credit for the work that I did do - prior to this circumstance, my grades were strong. I have spoken to Professor Salah and she is prepared to support my petition. We have discussed the possibility of an incomplete, but at this time it is not feasible for me to return to the course material as I am completing the rest of my degree requirements while working full time to support my mother. This credit is one of my final requirements to graduate. I have included a certificate of death and am prepared to submit other documentation that may be required. Thank you for your consideration.
