Petition Letter
I am petitioning to add DEVS101 to my Fall term classes after the Academic deadline, because due to previous circumstances that involved my mental health being on a decline- I was unable to swap classes beforehand. I have now dropped the previous class STAT161, and would like to add DEVS101 in its place. Being in a course where I know I can better engage with the course content and peers around me is what will boost my academic performance as well as improve my mental health. Previously my mental health was not in a great position during the available time to add and drop courses, which is why am now petitioning to add DEVS101 to my timeline. With the support of both the instructor of the course, Professor Taylor, and the Undergraduate Chair of the Global Development Studies Department; I am hopeful about there being a spot for me in DEVS101. This is my petition to add DEVS101 to my courses for the Fall term.
