Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Georgia Pardy, and I am a second-year student in the Art History Specialization program. I am writing to formally petition to withdraw from ARTH 275 for the current term due to ongoing mental and physical health challenges.
At the beginning of the academic year, I had planned to take six courses each semester in order to graduate early. However, due to a recent decline in my mental health, an issue for which I am in the process of obtaining accommodations through QSAS, as well as related physical health difficulties, I am no longer able to maintain this accelerated course load. I respectfully request permission to drop ARTH 275 without academic penalty, as these circumstances are beyond my control and have materially affected my academic performance.
I fully understand and respect the importance of university policies regarding course withdrawal and wish to assure you that this decision has not been made lightly. Thank you for your time, understanding, and consideration of my petition.
Sincerely,
Georgia Pardy
