Petition Letter
I am requesting a second deferral for my PHIL 204 final exam due to extenuating circumstances.
My original exam was scheduled for April 9, and I submitted a deferral request earlier that week following the passing of my grandmother. At that time, I was overwhelmed and needed to be with my family, and I submitted my request promptly under those circumstances.
The assigned deferred exam period of May 19-22 conflicts with a pre-booked, non-refundable trip. This commitment was made prior to the release of the deferred exam dates, and I am unable to change it.
I want to emphasize that I am not avoiding the exam and remain committed to completing the course. I respectfully request the opportunity to write the exam at an alternate time that does not conflict with the period of May 16-31.
