Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to respectfully petition for permission to enroll in Idis 373. I was placed on the course waitlist and remained actively hopeful that a spot would become available throughout the enrollment period. On the final day of enrollment, I was second on the waitlist; however, I was ultimately unable to secure a place in the course before enrollment closed.
This circumstance was unfortunately beyond my control, as I remained in a strong position on the waitlist and anticipated that movement within the class would allow me to enroll. I monitored SOLUS regularly and ensured that I remained eligible and available to join the course if a position opened. Despite these efforts, no additional space became available before the deadline passed.
This course is important to my academic progression and overall degree planning. Not being able to enroll may impact my intended course sequencing and future academic plans. I have consistently demonstrated commitment to my studies as a third-year Kinesiology student at Queen’s University and was fully prepared to participate in the course had a space become available.
I respectfully ask that my petition be considered and that an exception be made to allow me enrollment in the course. Given that I was second on the waitlist on the final day of enrollment, I hope this demonstrates both my strong interest in the course and how close I was to obtaining a seat through the regular process.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I appreciate the opportunity to have my request reviewed and would be grateful for any accommodation that may be possible.
Sincerely,
Alexandru Popescu
