Academic Plan
My academic goal is to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Health Studies, instead of my initially planned Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology. Through my second recovery process, I have become even more aware of how eating disorders take over every aspect of your life and trap you in a cycle of shame and fear that prevents someone from seeking the help they deserve. As a result, I would like to use my degree to work toward health promotion, mental health advocacy, and eating disorder awareness. My long term goal is to pursue a career focused on improving access to health education about mental health disorders without stigma and supporting individuals affected by eating disorders.
To ensure my future academic success, I have developed a structured degree completion plan. As previously stated, I am currently enrolled in summer courses and am demonstrating strong academic performance, including a current grade of 95% in HLTH 101 with all assignments submitted on time, as mentioned previously. This performance reflects my current abilities and commitment to my education now that I have the appropriate support and resources in place.
This is my academic plan for successfully completing the remaining requirements of my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Health Studies.

Academic Success Strategy:
In addition to my course plan, I have implemented several measures to support my continued academic success:
• Ongoing therapy and mental health support.
• Continued monitoring of my recovery from my concussion.
• Regular use of academic advising services.
• Early communication with instructors when challenges present themselves.
• Maintaining a structured study schedule and assignment calendar.
• Utilizing my support network of friends, family, and healthcare professionals.
• Prioritizing attendance, assignment completion, and consistent study habits.
I would like to respectfully request reinstatement and permission to return to my studies in the Fall term. My summer academic performance demonstrates that I have regained the ability to perform at a high level when supported by appropriate medical care and healthy coping strategies. I am committed to following this plan and am confident in my ability to successfully complete my degree and contribute positively to the Queen’s community.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Angelique Hoffstead
