Petition Letter
Dear Dean Dorit Naaman,
I would like to thank you for accepting my petition to waive the deadline. The attached documents are the same ones attached to my last petition submission. During my first 3 years at Queen's I was dealing with mental health issues that I have been working on greatly after being placed in Joseph Brant Hospital last summer. During my first 2 years at Queens I worked closely with the Joseph Brant Hospital Youth Outreach program but was misdiagnosed and didn't have the proper medications to help me. After last summer being watched over in their Mental Health Inpatient Unit I was able to get proper diagnoses and medications that have been a great help for me even though I do sometimes still struggle with my conditions. Another big help for me was opening a police investigation over some previous issues that happened to me, that investigation is now in its final stages of court and should be resolved in September of this year. A big reason for me not submitting petitions earlier or requesting help earlier is because of the mental state I was in, but I do not want to let these issues effect my life long term and my goals of going to law school and becoming a lawyer.
