Petition Letter
I was enrolled in CHEM 313 in the 2014-2015 school year. I took it up until October 1st of the year when I was advised by my undergraduate chair to drop the course as per some marking discrepancies that could not fully be resolved. With the advisement of the undergraduate chair I dropped the course and was told that there may be a different course for me to take this year to fulfill the core course requirement. Up until the add deadline, my current undergraduate chair was unsure of which course would be appropriate for me to take and so, while waiting for her response to help me decide which course to take, we missed the add deadline. In the end, I was advised to appeal to add the course after the deadline and taking the physics version of this course would be irrelevant and unnecessary information regarding my program. I have been taking the CHEM 313 course since week 2, just in case, so that I would not fall behind. I really don't want to have to come back for a 5th year for just one course. With two online courses, I feel that I have enough spare time to handle 6 courses and be able to manage my grades and extracurriculars. I have already taken the subsequent course that follows this course in the winter semester and so I am only missing this course in order to graduate.
