Petition Letter
To Whom it May Concern,
I suffered a traumatic knee injury at the end of September, which forced me to move home and have my eigth knee operation.Becasue of the emergence situation of the knee injury, it was impossible to schedule the knee surgery on a day that did not affect school dates. Since I had to appeal for debt and was enrolled in my classes late, I was already behind on some of my school work for this sememster, and the medical situation only magnified the situation
Due to the medications and surgery I had to go through I was unable to make academic decisions regarding my education, for a time period of over four weeks (September 29th to November 13th) and therefore missed the deadline date to drop classes at the appropiate time.
I am now semi recovered from my knee injuries and have moved back to Kingston. I am on track to finish the Fall semester exams and complete my full course load for the Winter semester. These courses and the remaining courses of this semester wil be above a 1.6GPA average alllowing me to be removed from my academic probation.
I hope you can understand my mistake in not making the drop deadline, and I hope you can grant me permission to drop the course after this period in order to allow me to have more time to focus on improving my GPA and my other courses.
Thanks so much,
Avery Luis
