Academic Plan
My plans for next year if my appeal were to be accepted is that I intend on switching majors to a subject in which I am truly passionate about and love. I hope to major in Political Science with a minor in French. Based on experience, I tend to succeed in area in which I am passionate about and have a keen interest in. If accepted, upon my return, I hope to take the following courses: POLS110, FREN P17, MUSC 103 ( I hold a First-Class Honours standing with the Conservatory of Music in Rudiments II) and a FILM course. By taking a lighter course load to ensure my ultimate success academically. This will allow me to focus strictly on the few subjects at hand without feeling overwhelmed. I hope to ensure that I won't forget who I am anymore and seek help from either Health services or speak with an Academic Advisor if I start feeling overwhelmed or lost in anyway. I have already joined 2 clubs: Queen's Chinese Student Association as their Graphics Specialist and Queen's Code the Change Chapter as their internal marketing executive. After attending a couple of meeting in April, I have already met some amazing people and for once feel like I am part of a community. I have met people who share the same values and beliefs as I do, this will allow me to stay on track and will be a constant reminder of who am I. If accepted, in late August, I plan on making an appointment with a Academic Advisor to clarify and answer any possible questions I may have about majoring in Politics.
