Petition Letter
I am appealing to waive the 21-day deadline so I can appeal to drop my failed courses from Winter 2015.
The circumstances that caused me to miss the deadline are outlined in the medical documentation provided. Specifically I was struggling a lot with the decision about whether or not to attempt to write the exams, and by the time I came to the realization that this was not the best course of action, the 21 day deadline had passed and the grades had converted to F's. In addition though I started counselling in April 2015, the problems detailed in the documentation are ongoing.
I was also informed in an email from the Denise Cameron on October 5th 2015 that the 21 day deadline would not be a problem, as the Appeals Coordinator had already been informed I would be appealing.
