Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
Since the second week of school I have had to deal with a series of medical issues, appointments and procedures. I have found several resources at Queen's to be helpful, but ultimately find myself unable to complete all assignments. Due to the severity of my situation, I have received extensions on essays, but with the new semester's work already beginning, I struggle to stay on top of my academics with the impending assignments from last semester. Last year I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, both which further inhibit my ability to focus on top of the stress of medical appointments and surgery. After reviewing my grades and the assignments that have yet to be completed, I find that the best solution for my education is to appeal for an Aegrotat standing in Politics 211 ¿¿ Canadian Politics. I wrote the exam with the rest of the class and maintained a nearly perfect attendance to my tutorials. I have yet to complete the research essay which was worth 25 of my final mark. I will complete the assignments for my other incomplete courses during my recovery as I have, for now, taken incomplete grades. Shall my impending surgery be successful, my medical state will improve in the foreseeable future, and I hope to finish the year with my best foot forward. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from your offices.
Sincerely,
Faith Villanueva
