Dear Dr. Johanne Bénard,
My name is Lauren Hanson and I am a first year science student. I am appealing to add part B of Chemistry 112 (3242) and lab section 019 back into my winter schedule.
On November 24th, 2014 I was trying to change a course however I inadvertently dropped Chemistry 112 from my schedule. I later realized my error and tried to add this course 5 times however, I was given the message that not allowed to enrol. You have added the B part of a multi term course to your shopping cart. I later looked at my fall term schedule to notice that Chemistry 112 was in fact still there. Seeing this, I assumed that since this is a full year course it must have been on my winter term schedule as well. Unfortunately, when I checked on January 3, 2015, this was not the case.
I have attended lectures, labs, tutorials and also wrote the midterm in the fall. I have a passion for chemistry and wish to pursue it here at Queens. I enjoy the course material and wilI continue to work extremely hard at it. I have contacted the Chemistry Undergraduate Chair for appeal support in which was given as well as my professor. Dr. Carren stated he wasn't the person to talk to and should indeed contact the undergraduate chair. The appeal support is attached.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Lauren Hanson
