Petition Letter
Hello,
I am writing this appeal in hopes to add a course past deadline. I would like to Re-Enroll into CISC 121; last semester I had to defer my exam to the beginning of this year due to a physical illness. By the time I figured I needed to re-enroll, and got around to it I discovered there was a senate sanction block on my account. I informed my family abroad soon after that it needs to be paid and the gravity of the situation. They said they had informed the bank and it would be sent off Wednesday (the 16th). I waited a day and when I checked my SOLUS; the sanction was still there. I called back my family who then called the bank which said there was a delay (I was not as to why other than it took them a while to figure out the payment had to be sent off through an intermediary bank) and that the payment should go through the following day (Friday). I was running back and forth trying to figure out if there was any other way possible to enrol. When I learnt that I needed to have a proof of payment, I had a messaged relayed to the bank; saying that I need proof of payment by Friday the absolute latest. Friday came and the sanction was still on my account and I had not received an email either. I called the bank directly around 3:30PM whilst I was waiting in the registrar office and told them I needed the proof of payment right away. I was on the phone with them for 1520 minutes and I was told the email was being sent to me right away. The phone call was cut off; I decided to call my family (seeing as how they were in the same country as the bank) and they spoke on my behalf and I was then told they were sending it as well as that they were going to call back when it was sent. I was not called back, I still had not received the proof of payment and the registrar office had closed. The email did not arrive till almost an hour later. Please understand that I did as much as I could to get through with the enrolment.
