Petition Letter
I am appealing that I need to drop my CISC121.
I took CISC121 for this term, but for now, I really felt that this course was not suitable and useless for me. Meanwhile, it already brought psychologically challenge for me. The reason and why and how it effects me to drop this course are listed below:
1) I am a first year arts student and all my other courses in this academic year are typically arts courses: Sociology, Global Development Studies, Economics and Spanish. And I will be in plan DEVS for my upper-year. Therefore, CISC121 does not have any help for my future academic studying.
2) I am a typical arts students, I did not possess ability of learning a computing programming courses without any basic and background knowledge of programming. Therefore, even after I spent over 20 hours per week in learning CISC121, I still could not achieve a satisfying grades on this course, and it already effected my average GPA hardly.
3) I felt extremely stressful and pressure of learning CISC121 and it already given my psychologically challenge and problems. I've already felt uncomfortable with both in this course and my daily campus life. It effected my other courses, too and even influenced me if I could be in DEVS plan.
Above are listed reasons that why I am appealing dropping CISC121 course now and hope my appeal can be permitted.
