Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Alexa Bowie and I am a first year student in Arts. I decided to take the second part of Italian as an elective that I was interested in but due to extenuating circumstances I am unable to complete this course. I have worked very hard in this course but my marks are not reflecting my abilities as a student. I have sat down with my professor who suspects I have test anxiety that is inhibiting my ability to display my knowledge of the course. In my final year of high school, I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and I am currently on medication to manage this. Despite my efforts to manage it, it is interfering with my ability to perform well in the course and after consulting my professor again we both agreed it would advisable to drop the course. I have contacted my family doctor who will be providing me with documentation to support my diagnosis.
