Academic Plan
I have a specific Academic Plan going forward as I want to graduate in 2017. I have spoken with an Academic Advisor in Arts and Science to formulate this plan. I am currently taking ENGL 100 and CISC 102 this summer. I currently need an average of B- on those two courses to raise my G.P.A to 1.6. At the time of this appeal, I am on track in those courses to achieve this. If my appeal is approved, I plan on enrolling as a part-time student and retaking the courses I have previously failed in an attempt to further raise my G.P.A above 1.6. I want to retake the courses I failed, Anatomy 215, Physiology 214, and Math 281 because I know I can pass them the second time I take them, raising my G.P.A to be well over 1.6. I have passed all of the courses I have taken a second time when I failed in my first attempt. I also took Anatomy 215 and Physiology 214 in my second year, the year in which my grandfather passed away affecting my grades in those courses. I am confident I would do better in the courses the second time around. If I am able to repeat my failed courses, I will only need an average of D+ in the five courses I would be taking, including the two I am currently taking this summer. I am confident in my ability to achieve this goal as I have achieved a higher average of 1.84 this past school year. With my G.P.A over 1.6, I plan on graduating in 2017. I currently have a cumulative G.P.A of 1.520, meaning I am only 0.08 away from a 1.6 and I am confident in achieving this if I am able to retake the 12.0 credits I have failed as passing those courses would raise my G.P.A substantially allowing me to graduate.
I wish to stay at Queen¿¿s next year and graduate. Please understand that my second year was an outlier and my third and fourth year at Queen¿¿s has proven it. I hope you give me a chance to finish my academic career at Queen¿¿s University. Thank you for considering this appeal.
Sincerely,
