Academic Plan
Becoming a visiting student at the University of British Columbia will allow me the opportunity to better focus on my studies and fulfill my academic goals. By regaining the support of my family, particularly financially, I will be able to attend all my classes, meet with professors and academic advisors during office hours for more assistance and complete my assignments on time rather than having to juggle work, classes and essays. Which I have been doing for the past two years, leading me to this decision.
I would also like to have an opportunity to better focus my time on my classes and grades, in order to eventually transfer into another program. By transferring to UBC, I believe I would have a better opportunity to change to my intended program of choice, Kinesiology. My father, who is now an employee at the University of British Columbia, will be able to help connect me with individuals who can assist me in achieving my academic goals, and help set me on a career path.
