Academic Plan
With a substantially reduced mental strain and a greater motivation to continue my studies, I would like to return and complete my degree at Queen¿¿s University. Looking at my degree plan, I have completed most of the required courses, but my marks are not ideal. Therefore, if I were to return to Queen¿¿s, I plan on retaking ANAT309 (Fall), PHYS107 (Fall and Winter), CHEM282 (Winter), and BCHM316 (Winter) which I did poorly on. All of those classes have a laboratory component, which I failed to excel in in the past that I will make sure does not repeat. Having taken these courses in the past, I hope it will give me an advantage towards increasing my grade and meeting the expectations of instructors. In addition, I plan on taking PHAR230 (Winter) as it is a requirement for my degree, thus providing a lighter course load (3-4 courses per semester). With the combination of these courses and potentially a few more, I aim to show drastic improvement in marks and complete my degree this year. Although the courses have proven to be difficult in the past, I know from past experience what to focus on and enforce participation in labs. Communicating with TAs and professors is an objective of mine as I lacked that in the past, take advantage of the workshops at the Learning Commons especially test-taking strategies, and making sure my academic progress is consistent with each lab, assignment and exam.
