Petition Letter
Dear Appeals Coordinator,
I am a 4th year economics student looking to enrol in your online summer Econ 111 course. I have already taken the course in 1st year, however I performed very poorly and I wanted a chance to improve this mark for myself as well as grad school applications.
I understand it is past the enrolment date for online courses as I have talked to the Arts and Science Online offices along with the professor Robert McKeown. From my discussion with them, they said there was still space in the course and it would be possible to enrol if I could catch up on the work. Since having done higher level economics courses, I believe I would easily be able to catch up on the foundation along with the assignments. The largest portion of the course comes from the final exam being worth 60 which is still pending for all students. I have only missed about 30 of the course work which I am confident I can catch up on with determined work.
I had contemplated the idea of registering in the course earlier, however I had to attend to a family matter and decided I would not have the mental capacity to worry about the course at the given time. However, now I am back and have the time and capacity to complete the course. I would consider taking the course in the fall, however I have already committed to a full course and would not be able to pursue this one in addition to all my other commitments. It would mean a great deal if I was given this opportunity to register in the course and complete the exam and assignments within the next month.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you again,
Bhargavi
