Petition Letter
This year was incredibly taxing on me. I developed intense anxiety and depression in October that rendered me completely numb throughout the rest of my first year. Returning home was a challenge, as I was ridden with doubt and fear that I had regressed. I was unsure if I was mentally stable enough to return to Queen¿¿s University. The idea of appealing the request to withdraw seemed hopeless to me. But shortly afterwards, I started seeking professional help, and was given the tools to help myself cope through the illnesses that held me back over the past year. I also received endless support from my loved ones, who encouraged me to appeal. Unfortunately, I began this process roughly a week after the deadline. It is as simple yet as complex as that. I now know that I am more than capable of returning to Queen¿¿s, as my mental health is undergoing a constant, steady climb. If I am granted this chance, I know that I will overcome any obstacle in my way.
