Request: - Application of transfer credits from advanced level results
- Removal of fail grade on Biology 103 ¿¿ 1st year 2015/2016
I would appreciate your consideration in granting me the re-administration of my transfer credits for Biology and Chemistry.
Having done research on - the application of transfer credits from Advanced level Examinations - the Queens website (http://www.queensu.ca/admission/apply-high-school/transfer-credits/gceadvanced-levels/gce-faculty-arts-science), I applied for a transfer credits. However, I was informed by an academic advisor that they do not apply. I was also advised to enrol in Physics 104/106, which ended in a busy course load in my first year as I took five major courses and no electives.
The drawback of a dense course load stemmed from medical complications. As I have ADHD, I required special medication in order to better manage my symptoms. However, as I entered Queen¿¿s a month after returning from Sri-Lanka, I was unable to see a specialist as the waiting list was six months. This resulted in extreme difficulty with staying up to date with assignments, and studying for exams. Unfortunately, this along with various other resulted in a much lower than expected outcome at the end of first year.
Over the course of the summer, I have both met with a specialist, and started taking medication.
