Petition Letter
To the Associate Dean (Studies),
I am writing to appeal that I receive a tuition credit for classes which were retroactively dropped due to severe and persistent illness. The appeal to have classes dropped was approved on February 23rd, 2016.
To be concise, the rationale for requesting that tuition paid for these specific classes be credited to my student account is the same as the rationale for appealing to drop the courses themselves: I was not able to participate in or benefit from these classes due to my illness, which caused me to be academically incapacitated per Dr. Kenny at Queen's Student Health. Now that I have had an extended period of convalescence and have been able to recover, and have been cleared to return to classes, having these courses credited to my student account will allow me to return to my studies and move past my period of serious illness.
I have attached a spreadsheet which may be used as a guide to reference tuition paid.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
