Petition Letter
Hi,
My name is Nathan Sanghe and I am currently in first year in the Bachelor of Science. I am currently enrolled in Geology 106 with Professor Treena Bron and have several reasons why I would like to make the switch into Economics 111 Section 1 instead of the Geology course. First of all, I would like to begin by saying that I have received written consent from Professor Berkok stating that he permits my switch into Economics 111 without any issue. I have extensive knowledge in Economics as I took both micro and macro economics in high school and believe that I would be able to make the switch into the course with no trouble in catching up on the material at all and the Professor agreed to it. The reason that I want to make the switch is that I currently have a very busy Tuesday as I have a three hour Chemistry lab that ends only an hour before my Geology class begins. Finishing my tutorial for Chemistry then going to geology is a very big time crunch and has proven difficult to make it on time for the last three lectures. Secondly, Geology is not a very big interest of mine and doesn't give me any substantial advantage in my course outline. Economics however is a much more hearty topic and could provide background information for myself if I want to pursue a duel degree. This duel degree plan has been on my mind for a while and seems smart for myself as I am not entirely sure about my future path. Considering that I have been late to the last few lectures and have missed core material, surely, plus adding on the fact that I don't need the geology credits for the future has led me to the conclusion that this switch to Economics is very important for myself and would greatly appreciate the acceptance to be switched. Thank you very much, Nathan Sanghe.
