Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I'm emailing today because our final group assignment received a poor grade due to a technical issue. After the group assignment mark was posted, another group member and I immediately emailed the course email and professor to voice our concern over the grade, but neither responded.
I believe that there was a technical error with the audio either on the TA's side or on the side of our group. I'm also concerned that with an assignment of such magnitude, the TA did not notify our group of the fact that there was no audio present, as to hand in a narrated powerpoint assignment with no narration would be ludicrous on our group's behalf. If the TA had notified us, we would have quickly sent in the correct version with working audio, even if it meant a 5 deduction. I also believe that our mark in the treatment overview and connection to organelle dysfunction should be reviewed as we accurately described gene therapy and explained how it works on the genetic level (cutting out defective CTFR gene and replacing it with functional one).
I believe that it is a reasonable request to have our assignment remarked with the audio attached. To have our final grade in the course dropped drastically due to a technical error would be unfair and would call into question the appropriateness of online courses if technical issues like this cannot be addressed.
Thanks,
Jackson
