Petition Letter
I am submitting an appeal to request enrollment in a course I would like to take during the Winter term of 2017. The enrollment requirements for the course is 30 credits. It is an online philosophy course, specifically PHIL 203 (philosophy of science). I do not currently have 30 credits because I got confused in first year Art/Sci regarding what I wanted to take. I ended up achieving only 18 credits in one philosophy course, physics, and calculus, all of which were full year. I am taking 5 courses this fall term (2017), but am not earning the usual amount of credits for 5 courses since three of them are full year. Upon completing fall term, I will have 27 credits (provided that I pass the exams). Although I won't have the credits required for enrollment, I do not see why I cannot enroll in PHIL 203 for the winter term, as I had no trouble enrolling in an online philosophy course during the fall semester (PHIL 259). I am also getting the experience and knowledge of what would be an extra 9 credits this term. I am also majoring in philosophy.
