Petition Letter
Dear Johanne,
Please accept this letter in support of my request to waive the 21-day deadline for appeals. From the summer of 2014 to the summer (and early fall) of 2015, I faced some very difficult and stressful extenuating circumstances in my personal life which affected my schoolwork and my ability to face the effects of those issues on my schoolwork. Most of all, because of my documented issues with anxiety and my close working relationship with my fellow advisors and colleagues in this office, I felt a conflict of interest bringing those issues forward and disclosing them. In fact I made a conscious decision not to appeal simply out of fear. Now, after being in a much better mental state and accepting that I am only human, I wish the opportunity for a fair consideration of the extenuating circumstances that caused me to do poorly with my courses during that time.
I greatly appreciate your consideration and support.
Best,
David
