Petition Letter
Hello, My names is Connor Gilmour, and unfortunately I've had a very turbulent year. This year i have missed massive amounts of school through my prolonged concussion symptoms as-well as pneumonia, And due to all the time missed this year i feel like my only hope to stay enrolled in Queens University is to drop these courses completely.
i got my concussion in the spring of last year, it was particularly worrisome because this was my third major concussion in 4 years. This injury had symptoms that lingered long into the school year. I missed a total of 4 weeks of classes in the first term because of the injury making unbearable to sit through a lecture or work on my computer. this put me off to a terrible start, and in winter i got hit pneumonia. which further put me behind. i was bed locked for three weeks, and was event sent home to sort out my health. With all of this i feel like I've been robbed of my first year, and was never really given an opportunity to prove myself. I've spent this entire year playing catch up. I truly love Queens and i desperately want to come back, and this feels like my last opportunity too.
