Petition Letter
Hello,
I have experienced tremendous difficulty this year due in part to ongoing personal, psychological and mental health issues, which have required professional care throughout the year (including counselling and advising at Queen's), and even temporary hospitalization during the 2016 Fall term.
These issues have made it hard for me to succeed academically, as well as socially and personally - I have missed several classes and major evaluations, to the point where I don't feel that my grades can be salvaged in certain courses.
I have made repeated attempts throughout the year to get my academic career back on track and although I was often temporarily successful, I found myself even more frequently having my academics negatively impacted by my immense mental health difficulties.
I have been in frequent contact with my professors and instructors, and have concluded that I can still succeed academically in 3 of my 5 courses. The remaining 2 courses, however, I feel that it would be best to drop altogether.
Thank you,
Logan Murchison
