Academic Plan
Measures I have specifically taken to address the extenuating circumstances include trying to set aside time most evenings for clerical and academic tasks, maintaining a clear line of communication between my group members and myself, and attempting to stay on top of my work through textbook readings, messaging peers, and rewriting lecture notes I have received. I have been able to communicate with 4 out of my 5 instructors, and have been able to arrange alternative assignments or discuss deferrals or aggregate grading with all 4. The only instructor I have been unable to reach is for ECON240 Arthur Stewart. I have also established regular communication with an academic advisor to help me establish an appeal, and give me an idea of what my options are and how to employ said options.
If this appeal is granted, I will ensure that I do not compromise my university education. I will learn the content of the last two weeks for the upcoming year. In the case where my exams are deferred, I will study diligently and ensure that I am prepared for the exams. Furthermore, the principal rationale behind this appeal is to ensure that I still have the ability to graduate on time, alongside upholding a high academic standard, and preserving grad school opportunities. Lastly, I will be proactive, and critical, and pursue counselling or medical help if necessary, alongside employing campus resources to help ensure that my education and personal wellbeing stay on the right track.
I hope for this event and circumstance to not impact my education following this semester, and I am trying to make sure that my future academic performance and responsibilities are not compromised.
