Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I need to drop my two year long courses, ENGL 200 and ENGL 292 due to extenuating circumstances. During second term I fell ill with what the doctors referred to as massive blood clots in the main arteries in both of my lungs. This is also referred to as Pulmonary Embolisms. I was hospitalized for a period of time, during which I dropped my half year courses before the drop deadline. I did not drop my full year courses as I was hopeful I would be able to recover and return to school with a reduced course load to complete the courses and not have wasted my first term. Unfortunately it has taken longer to recover than I had previously hoped and while I am getting better, and will hopefully be returning to class in the fall, I am unable to presently return to school and finish my courses due to medical reasons beyond my control. This is why I'm appealing to drop these courses from my permanent record.
I have a note from my physician, Doctor Kenneth Jaskolka, attesting to my illness and stating that it has caused me to be unable to finish my studies this year. Your website will not let me upload the letter for some reason but it can be easily sent through e-mail correspondence. Please let me know to which address I should send this letter.
Thanks,
Sydney Kowal
