Petition Letter
Dear Dr. Bénard,
I am writing to you to request to enrol in PSYC397 ¿¿ History of Modern Psychology during the Summer 2017 term. I am a Psychology major entering fourth year, and I am also hoping to complete a minor in Drama and the Certificate in Business. It has recently come to my attention that, due to my enrolment in the Certificate in Business program, I will not have enough Arts and Science credits to graduate on time unless I take a larger than normal course load next year (6.0 units short). Since I will be taking the thesis option next year, as well as directing a full length play with a theatre company on campus, I do not think I would be able to excel in fourth year while taking an extra 6.0 units during the school year. Upon speaking to the Psychology undergraduate advisor, Allison Leverette, I was encouraged to submit this appeal for late course enrolment, as PSYC397 is the only Summer 2017 course that will count towards my Psychology major.
