Academic Plan
Although I am prepared and dedicated to work hard and diligently, I recognize that after my year at the castle I need support. Presently, I am taking two grade twelve Science courses, Physics and Biology in the hope I can take first-year courses that will be helpful for me to do Kinesiology. However, I would like to work with Lori Kilminster on my academic plan. I believe that in September, I should work in close collaboration with Student Support Services. During the summer I am going to find and participate in some university introductory classes. Western University offers a two-day preparatory program. There are also a few online programs I am investigating. I also feel that having a mentor at Queen's would be very helpful to me. I will keep in regular contact with my advisor, Lori Kilminster. Although my grandmother will sadly not be alive in the fall my family, friends, horses, etc. are only a few hours away. Queen's University has small music groups I can play my cello in. I firmly believe that going to Queen's University in the province will ease a lot of my challenges. Also, I have quite a few friends and acquaintances that are students at Queen's University.
