To the Associate Dean (Studies)
I would like to appeal the one-term deadline to late drop courses from my transcript. While at Queen's I suffered from a mental illness that resulted in an uneven academic performance. I was unable to be proactive with appeal within the one-term deadline due to a mental barrier caused by debilitating anxiety. The process created an overwhelming sense of fear that I was then unable to overcome.
I am appealing now, because after several years of treatment and recovery, I have decided to continue with my studies with the aim of completing my degree.
