Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean,
I am writing this letter to ask permission to drop the course PHAR 100 - Introductory Pharmacology (online course) which I have been taking this Fall semester at Queen's University.
Thus far, my grade is A- and I thought I could keep up with it. However, I fell behind with the course material and the last 2 assignments. I am working full-time with Toronto Public Health, and I also been experiencing regular headaches since last two months. Sometimes, it makes it difficult to concentrate of my studies after a day of work.
I really love this course. I do not want to only memorize the course content, I want to comprehend and learn it properly. I spoke to the professor, and if I can drop this course, I will retake it during the upcoming winter semester. I plan to apply for graduate programs. Right now, I am taking pre-requisite courses. It is my first time working full-time and studying on the side, and I have realized I didn't plan my study schedule properly. I do not wish my grade to affect my CGPA, and I do not want this course to appear twice on my transcript.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Dipa Nath
