Re: Late Course Add
I am hoping to add a course (DRAM236; Public Presentation) this late in the year due to some circumstances that will arise next semester. I am currently a PSYC100 Teaching Assistant, which requires a Friday morning meeting each week. As this Friday morning class is not shown on SOLUS, I enrolled in PSYC380; Advanced Perception in the winter term, which also takes place on Friday mornings.
Due to this conflict, and my interest in continuing to be a Teaching Assistant next semester, I am hoping to drop PSYC380. To ensure that I have enough credits, I am hoping to add DRAM236; Public Presentation, which I have been attending every week since September. Initially I was not able to enrol in DRAM236 because I am enrolled in PSYC501 that shows up on SOLUS as two sections per week, when in actuality I only attend one of the sections per week. Therefore, I was able to attend DRAM236 all semester, as I wanted to learn and improve my public speaking skills. The professor of this course, Kim Renders, is aware that I was attending in an unofficial capacity all semester, but has still allowed me to participate in all of the individual and group assignments. Kim has also been grading my assignments, so adding the course this late in the year will not add any extra consideration from Kim or myself. Kim is fully supportive of this late course add, and is happy to confirm this.
