Letter of Academic Appeal: Dropping a course after the deadline due to medical reasons
Course: EMPR220
Student Number: 10196554
Student: Sean P Killin
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you to appeal to drop the Employment Relations Course, Conflict Resolutions (EMPR 220) after the November 3, 2017 deadline. On November 9, I came down with bronchitis, leaving me to make my way home to Toronto and to seek medical attention from my doctor in Toronto. I was under his medical care from November 9 ¿¿ November 19, largely without a capability of completely attending my academic duties. As a result of this, and its inconvenient time occurring almost immediately after the deadline to drop a course, I was unable to drop the course EMPR220. When I returned to my academic duties, I had a certain ¿traffic jam¿¿ of assignments and tests that I completed; however, unfortunately due to the illness setting me back, I had to sacrifice this one course in order to focus on the success of others.
Attached is a medical note displaying my inability to attend to my academic duties from November 9-19 2017.
I wish you a very happy holiday season, and a happy new year.
Best Regards,
Sean P Killin
