Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
On October 30th, I received news about my friend, Leah Battista, who was in the hospital. After hearing this news, I was overcome with nervousness, stress, and other emotions which distracted me from my studies, work, and much more. As days progressed, Leah's conditioned worsened. She passed away on November 4th. Leah was one of my good friends from first year (at the Bader International Study Centre) and she was in the Global Development Studies program with me. The news about my good friend prevented me from picking up my grades, and resulted in much lower grades than I had hoped for.
I am requesting to drop these courses without academic penalty.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Pravieena Gnanakumar
