Petition Letter
To Whom it may concern,
I am looking to be placed in the aforementioned seminar courses after the deadline due to the dialogue between Sociology Undergraduate Assistant Michelle Underhill and myself running past the closing day for adding/dropping courses. I asked Michelle to put me in the seminars on Thursday before the deadline the following Friday, however I did not hear back from her until Monday morning when she instructed me to call the Faculty as she no longer had the ability to place me in the classes. I followed her instructions, I called the Faculty and emailed the registration inbox as listed on the Queen's website, and I waited until the following day, when I heard back from Kerri Andrews, who informed me her office could help me if I had Michelle contact them and confirm that I was allowed to enroll in the two seminar classes. I thanked her and emailed Michelle right away on that Tuesday informing her of what Kerri had said, I then waited until this Friday, January 26th, when I finally heard back from Michelle telling me she had contacted the Faculty but needed me to submit an official appeal, hence this appeal written on Saturday January 27th. So in waiting I have lost time in these classes, and I lost a week waiting to hear if I could be enrolled before I was told I would have to submit an appeal. I do not blame Michelle in anyway, I understand she is busy with her many responsibilities, however this whole process occurred through no fault of my own, I simply followed instructions as they came. I am a fourth year student and I need these courses to graduate with a BAH degree, and I will do everything in my power to meet all responsibilities within these seminars and catch up as soon as I possibly can. Both Michelle and Kerri were very helpful, I just wish the timeline had moved quicker. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely.
