Petition Letter
Hi
I am writing to appeal for dropping my PHIL203 class after the deadline. I would like to explain the circumstances. On the one hand, I just made the decision to change my degree plan from science to arts, psychology and environmental studies medial. I have sent emails to the undergraduate chair and made sure it is doable. PHIL 203, which is about nature and science is no longer required in my degree plan. On the other hand, I switched campus to BISC in England for this winter term, wasn't expecting that they have a shorter term here and I have to fly back to Canada and take the online course exam in Kingston. The move-out date is April 11 and the exam is scheduled only a few days after. My review time would be very little and it really brings me a lot of pressure. Plus, this is the first Philosophy course I have ever taken, the concepts are really new and the workload is huge. I admit I had a very difficult time last term, and my grades suffered as a result. I would not want to risk it to take a final exam in a hurry after the long, exhausting trip.
Thank you for considering this appeal.
Sincerely,
Bihan
