Academic Plan
My plan is to enroll in LING 100 and ANAT 100 for the fall semester. Prior to add/drop period, I had already been keeping up with the coursework for both courses. I only missed two classes when I left Kingston for home. I also have friends in both classes, whom I have already contacted regarding missing schoolwork, notes and advice.
I have proven my ability to maintain a high GPA in LING 100 through my first test. I received an A grade of 86.5 on my first test, which scores highly amongst my peers. I also attended many TA sessions adn listen intently during class.
By taking only two courses in fall semester, I can focus my energy on catching up on missed courses. I am following Dr. Bernard's advice regarding taking two or three courses in fall semester. My plan is to take six next semester in order to renew my Chancellor's Scholarship (9,000/year). Since I had been enrolled in PSYC 251 prior to add/drop period, I will be taking that course in winter semester. I will be taking notes for PSYC 251 this semester, so in a sense I will be taking three courses in fall and five in winter semester.
I have already spoken to an academic counselor regarding my courses, and I was told that I am on the right track for grad school options (speech language pathology and law school) and I can graduate in a timely manner if I take summer courses.
