Petition Letter
I'm appealing to drop CISC 121 summer 2016, CISC 102 summer 2017, and CISC 260 Winter 2018.
At the end of first year and second year university, I suffered a crisis and was hospitalized which affected my ability to take my final exams.
I have been struggling to focus on my courses and final exams for a long time, but it has become increasingly worse. 4 months ago I was diagnosed with ADHD, i took an assessment and it demonstrated and proved why I have been struggling to focus during lectures, exams, and while studying. Because I was undiagnosed and unaware I had this neurological disorder, I did not have the proper resources such as medication, and additional time during exams and tests that would have allowed me to perform to the best of my abilities during my studies at Queen's.
During the summer, I switched into the BA - general in computing plan and have 2 courses left, which I'm taking online. I will also be seeing my psychiatrist soon, and be taking new medication that will allow me to focus and better prepare for my courses and last 2 exams, and graduate from Queen's.
